This month’s guy in my Men of Vodka series is none other than one of my favorite people and my friend, Trevor Schneider with Reyka Vodka.
What do you get when you cross a jumping bean with the EverReady bunny?? That would be the energetic, intense, hilarious man-bun wearing Trevor Schneider! Seriously, this man wears me out and makes me laugh so much. Hanging out with him is like running a non-stop marathon - go, go, go!
I met Trevor a few years ago and have written about him and Reyka before, so you may be familiar with him already. As the National Brand Ambassador, his role is to travel around the country educating both the consumer and the industry about Reyka Vodka. And travel he does! Check out this video of what a month in his life looks like.
His background in bartending and hospitality certainly plays into his role and he applies it daily in his position. His approach to life is contagious and he has no fear. Whether it’s mixing cocktails, spinning tunes, doing photo shoots, standing on top of the Reyka House or taking the polar plunge; this man does it with love, enthusiasm and skill.
Part of the William, Grant & Sons portfolio, Reyka Vodka is bottled and distiiled in Iceland. Filtered through lava rock with glacial water, this small batch vodka is clean and fresh. Super smooth to enjoy alone chilled with a slash of lime (my personal preference) or mixed into your favorite cocktail as a base spirit. Made from wheat and barley, it has no harsh kick to it. You could say I’m a bit partial to it, mostly in part because of Trevor and the fact that it’s a great vodka doesn’t hurt.
This month he is in Denver, Atlanta and at Pride Week in NYC and preparing for their participation at the annual Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans. I’ll be posting frequently from the event as there is so much going on .. and I’m sure there will be Reyka Vodka and Trevor posts. :)
