Hey there Vodka Lovers! It's been a hot minute since I posted a blog. My goal is to do at least one monthly, but you know how it is sometimes - life gets in the way (I have 6 in draft stage that I promise to finish for you). I've been busy attending cocktail conferences and spirits events, traveling, doing promotion tastings AND working on a huge project that I've wanted to do foreeeeeeeva.
I present to you - VODKA, TX!!
You know I love supporting local distilleries and brands. Whiskey distilleries have for a while now had a Whiskey Trail as a way for fans to find out about local products and distilleries. Believe it or not, we have numerous vodka distilleries around Texas and no one knows about them! For years, I've asked why doesn't vodka have something like that? Well now there is! I've been talking to various distilleries about it and they have agreed to come on-board. I'm so excited to have this available for you.
We still have some things to finalize; like tweaking the logo, signage graphics, printing and such. But we will be good to go January 1st when we officially launch.
Here's how it works: Distilleries join Vodka, TX as a participant. You (Vodka Lover) buy an annual membership that gives you access to these distilleries with some fun stuff added in. Each distillery will provide some type of perk to members. Some examples include complimentary tours and/or tastings, swag, discounts on merchandise, member-only invites (like bottling parties, exclusive releases, special events, etc.). Details and distillery hours will be posted in a member only access site that will be updated as new distilleries come on.
Participating venues will have a Vodka, TX sign and members will receive a membership card to show in order to redeem perks. EACH person in your group must be a paid member in order to receive perks. However, if only one person is a member, then only that person gets the perk. Fair enough?
Okay, so I know what you're thinking - What's this going to cost me Nicole? Well, here's the good part! PRE-SALES are live NOW until Dec. 31st for only $50! That's right, only 50 bucks AND include TWO full years of membership if purchased by early deadline. Annual membership when we go live on January 1st will be $45/yr. - still not bad, right?
And yes, there will be a launch party. Most likely, after the holidays but before SXSW (because we know how crazy that can get).
